I know some of us treat our Windows 11 computer like a personal assistant, but what if it could really handle tasks like a real-life human personal assistant does? Well Microsoft is trying to make this a thing, with their new AI project. Windows Agent Arena.
The goal here is to create smart virtual assistants called AI agents. They’ll be able to complete tasks, on your computer for you. This could save so much time by doing those repetitive tasks for you, like managing apps or organizing files.
I’m sure you’re wondering what an AI agent is and how it could help your business. Allow me to explain, I love explaining. (Not to be confused with mansplaining. I try to avoid that as much as humanly possible.)
Ok. So an AI agent is a type of artificial intelligence that’s designed to interact with your computer. Instead of just giving you only information though, AI agents can perform actions for you. We’re talking things like run your morning routine. You can train an AI agent to open your calendar, launch your email app, and check the news. So, when you start your day, the agent will know what info to share with you, just like a personal assistant. Cool right?
Think about what it would be like to have AI agents update your software or edit documents for you. They can enable privacy options in Microsoft Edge, install extensions or even update settings. This saves you time and hassle, allowing you to focus on bigger or more important things.
Something cool about this is that the project is open source. This means that developers from all over the world can contribute to help these tools evolve. Currently it’s still in development, but the potential for businesses is mind boggling. In the meantime, if you want to see how helpful AI can be to you and your business, give Copilot a try! As always, if you’ve got questions or need help, we’re always here to help!
